CNN reports that the World Food Program is calling the higher food prices “A Silent Tsunami” threatening millions with death from starvation. Nobody is willing to say what is causing the hikes in food prices. The confusion about whether they are due to a “cost push” or “demand pull” is only turning up the silence.
